Records Manager (Record Management, SharePoint, Documentation, GDPR, BS10008, Analysis, Electronic Document) - Permanent - Manchester

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 per annum
Location: Central Manchester

Search IT are currently looking for a Records Manager on a permanent basis for our prestigious client based in Central Manchester.

Skills/Requirements for the Records Manager:
* Extensive experience in a similar role
* Hands on experience of working within an electronic document and record management application (any product)
* Previous experience of supporting SharePoint
* Working knowledge of the application of automated systems
* Advanced working knowledge and experience using MS Excel and similar products to perform complex data analysis is essential for this role.

Desirable Skills:
* Any experience of Opentext EDRM

The Records Manager will be responsible for:
* Supporting the development of systems and processes, possessing a keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy promoting excellence in records management.
* Establishing and maintaining a new records management system in SharePoint to underpin our O365 environment.
* Developing, maintaining, verifying and evaluating existing systems, ensuring our records retention and disposal arrangements are consistent and BS10008 compliant.
* Providing best practice advice and training to staff who require access or have responsibility for maintaining records to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures.
* Dealing with enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external customers
* Ensuring that legal, financial or policy requirements and controls are complied with
* Ensuring that data is protected in line with our information security policies.
* Classifying and indexing records, ensuring that records are easily accessible when needed.
* Pro-actively identifying areas for improvement and working with colleagues to implement improvement measures, applying a continuous improvement approach.
* Keeping up to date with records management developments and data protection legislation and best practice guidance.
* To apply and manage the relevant diversity and equality policy and practice relevant to the role.
* To apply the relevant management systems, procedures and policies relating to risk management, health and safety, information security and business continuity.
* Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned from time to time.
