Temp Receptionist
based MANCHESTER CC

£10.08 per hour

We are looking to recruit a front desk receptionist based within one of the schools at a leading Manchester University.

The hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 - 4.30pm

 To work on one of the School Reception desks, being the first point of contact for visitors, staff and students to the buildings and responding to building occupant access queries.
 To provide clerical support to staff and students in the buildings, such as seminar room and lecture theatre bookings, deal with incoming and outgoing post and courier requests and performing other duties associated with a busy building reception.
 To maintain all notice boards (including electronic) within the building to ensure that they are kept tidy with up-to-date information and notices.
 To assist in maintenance of databases for room keys, etc.
 To work as part of a team with other School Receptionists and wider Faculty Reception Support staff in other Faculty buildings. Dealing with telephone, email and personal enquiries from students and members of staff within and outside the Faculty, and direct the enquiries to the appropriate person where necessary. Managing a busy shared email inbox and responding in a professional and timely manner.
 Managing and maintaining mailing lists for the building, making sure that new starters are added to the appropriate lists.
 Take responsibility for ensuring that secure building access is maintained, exercising judgement in providing controlled access and dealing with any problems as they arise in a professional and helpful manner.
 Paging First Aiders, acting as the first point of contact in cases of emergency.
 Issuing/recording temporary passes and ID badges and managing visitors and out of hours logbook
 Updating computerised card access system (ARX) and daily calendar.
