Search are delighted to be working with a global market leading manufacturer on their search for a QC Shift Analyst based in Stockton on tees. Your responsibilities are to provide a comprehensive analytical service, testing products and raw materials in line with customer demand and business requirements.

This role is on shift basis.


  • Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are met including (but not limited to) workplace organisation, work instructions, risk assessments, and control, COSHH assessments, housekeeping standards in accordance with GLP and GMP.
  • Provide on-demand accurate and timely analytical support as required to support the production buildings.
  • Work with Development on the analytical aspect of New Product Introduction and Existing Product Development.
  • Ensure all Laboratory paperwork is completed on time and in full to the required standard.
  • Perform maintenance of laboratory equipment including performing calibration duties as required
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of reagents and consumables.
  • Generate, interpret and report on analytical data to support services and communicate this on time and in full.
  • Complete all QC documentation in compliance with Company procedures
  • Initiate laboratory investigations for QC-related issues
  • When required, carry out minor analytical method development to improve in-process analyses. This will consist mainly of, but is not limited to HPLC, GC, spectrophotometric techniques and titrations.
  • Provide associated method validation activities, conforming to the relevant regulatory standards required.

  • Analytical aptitude and confidence in working in a multi-disciplinary laboratory.
  • Data and computer literate, fluent user of typical office software application packages, especially Word and Excel.
