Our client is a major UK food company with strong values that has seen impressive growth continuously in the manufacturing and distribution of goods throughout the country. This position as a Purchase Ledger Clerk in Bradford is a great opportunity working along side a great finance team at the company.

In terms of person specification, the company is looking for someone who lives in or around the Bradford area, or who does not mind the travel into Bradford. This also requires previous Purchase Ledger experience and a good knowledge of accounting software packages. Bringing a positive attitude and a natural ability to work well under pressure, this candidate will have excellent organisation skills and be proficient in using Excel spreadsheet.
o Match, batch and code invoices for payment
o Prepare weekly BACS and cheque runs to pay suppliers
o Ad-hoc foreign payments
o Query resolution
o Ensuring the purchase ledger is up to date.
o Responsible for processing cash expenses and petty cash claims.
o Credit card statements
o Setting up new supplier accounts and maintain existing
o Process reimbursements & claims
o Process cheques
o Liaise with audit
o Maintain robust filing system
o Other ad-hoc assignments as and when required by senior finance staff
