I am currently working with a Brighton and Hove based client who are looking to bring on an experienced, financially focused Purchase Ledger Clerk with previous experience and exposure to credit control.
As an efficient Purchase Ledger Clerk and or Accounts Payable Assistant, you'll work within a small finance team on a wide variety of challenging and motivating financial and compliance tasks.
Your role includes but isn't limited to:
- First point of contact with all Creditors who may have queries regarding outstanding invoices.
- Performing Bi-Monthly payment runs via BACS.
- Ensuring all invoices are registered with the correct nominal and VAT codes, then work-flowed to the appropriate delegated signatory for authorisation and matched on the system against purchase orders promptly to enable payment as agreed with Creditors.
- Updating all Creditors statements every month, liaising, negotiating, retaining copy invoices when necessary and ensuring information is maintained and filed.
It is essential that you have previous finance experience ideally as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable Assistant, alongside fantastic organisation and communication skills.
For the right candidate with the relevant financial services experience, this role can pay up to £13 per hour alongside several attractive company benefits.
