Are you a Psychiatric Support Worker in the Whitchurch area of Shropshire? Our client is looking for Psychiatric Support Workers with a strong sense of care and empathy to work full time in Whitchurch, Shropshire, and is offering a rate of £10 per hour. COVID-19 has put extra pressure on all nursing services primarily in the NHS, so your help and support filling these currently open Psychiatric Support Workers vacancies are much appreciated.

In this Psychiatric Support Worker role, you will deliver a person-centred integrated support service for service users. You'll be working flexible hours through the week, evenings and weekends. You will be expected to follow care plans for the residents, engage with them and administer care, including personal hygiene.

In addition, you will require:

  • Experience providing care to vulnerable adults, in either a residential or domiciliary setting
  • Up to date and satisfactory references
  • A deep understanding of the recovery principles in mental health, and experience working with autism and ADHD
  • Experience of working in a social care or residential environment
  • Willingness to complete the induction programme and care certificate
