Search consultancy, one of the UK's leading nursing recruitment businesses are recruiting for Psychiatric Support Workers and care assistants in Shrewsbury earning £10 per hour. Your Psychiatric Support full-time job will be to deliver a person-centred integrated support service for participants in the Community Living Service and to discharge responsibilities within an allocated registered service. You're working flexible hours through the week, evenings and weekends. You will be expected to follow care plans for the residents and engage with them, administer care, including personal hygiene and ensure the well-being of residents, adhering to CQC care standards.

What you'll need to bring for this Psychiatric Support Worker role:

  • Have experience providing care to vulnerable adults, in either a residential or domiciliary setting, and can provide up to date and satisfactory reference
  • A deep understanding of the recovery principles in mental health, and experience of working with autism and ADHD
  • Experience of working in a social care or residential environment to include facilitating the development of personal care skills and the preparation of meals
  • Willingness to complete the induction programme and our care certificate
