Are you looking for a full-time scientist job? We're currently recruiting for an analytical and innovative Product Development Scientist in Macclesfield. This is a 12-month full-time temporary position, based at our client's pharmaceutical facility, and it comes with a salary of up to £29k.

The successful Scientific candidate will be an analytical scientist with at least two years product development experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

The purpose of this job is to provide analytical support for drug product development projects. The role will involve liaising with both internal clients and external collaborators and duties may include providing direct analytical support, developing and validating analytical methods and working on tech transfers.

To apply for this Product Development Scientist role, you will need:

  • A BSc or MSc in a relevant field with a strong emphasis on analytical science
  • At least 2 years' analytical pharmaceutical experience in the industry
  • Technical transfer experience
  • Method Development and Method Validation experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of techniques such as HPLC and GC within a development environment


The ideal candidate will also have strong technical skills, report writing skills and problem-solving skills. There are excellent career progression paths and opportunities to expand knowledge and expertise within the role. The initial contract term is 12 months, with a view to extending beyond. The salary is £23-£29 DOE.
