Principle Employee Benefits Consultant (Sales) - London

We are seeking an exceptional Sales Professional with impressive sales, business development, and commercial experience to join our client in London. You will be responsible for growing business through winning new, profitable UK corporate clients. This role requires full management of the complex sales cycle, including all aspects of the sales process, from pre-sale through to presentation, close, contracting, and hand-over to the relationship team.

The role:

  • Get deep into clients' business goals, strategies, culture, and organisation to uncover their true drivers of growth and benefit needs
  • Identify, secure and build excellent and sustainable new client partnerships into which we deliver strategic, impactful, and integrated solutions
  • Build strong and productive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Build client growth plans to articulate specific objectives for building relationships and generating revenue
  • Able to negotiate and secure new client contracts working with a range of stakeholders from main buyer(s) to procurement
  • Have high standards of sales professionalism including managing your own opportunities pipeline and contacts
  • Work with product specialists to pro-actively identify and drive areas for strategic growth
  • Assist the Business Development Team to build prospective client relationships through the utilisation of engaging content and innovative approaches to marketing

You will need to have the following skills:

  • Mid-level experience in a commercial and business development role with a proven track record of financial success
  • Demonstrable track record of selling complex, large value, multi-year contracts
  • Significant experience in the Health and Wellbeing market in the UK
  • Technical understanding of pensions, flexible benefits, and wider benefits consulting
  • A very strong strategic commercial acumen with the capacity to quickly understand business issues
  • Experience with sales methods, tools, and practices
  • Exceptional client management skills with demonstrated experience developing strong relationships
  • Excellent communication skills; spoken and written
  • Experience in developing and writing copy for all forms of media e.g. website, marketing campaigns, social media, and business responses (RFP)
  • Attention to detail when producing reports, proposals, tender responses, data, or other analysis
  • Flexible with a strong desire to be part of a challenging and change oriented environment
