The leading provider of essential business services to small businesses is looking for a Pricing Manager to own the pricing policy across a range of products and services including telecoms, broadband, mobile, water, electricity and gas, driving both customer and profitability growth.

Location: Manchester and Home Based (Hybrid Role)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 dependant on experience

Contract: Permanent

Supervising one Pricing Analyst you will monitor performance of the pricing policies, gain a detailed understanding of competitor tariffs and propositions and implement changes as needed. The ideal candidate will come from; an energy, telecoms, insurance, or Financial Service type industry and have solid analytical skills to create reports and make recommendations to senior management.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Owner of the pricing policy acrosstelecoms, broadband, mobile, water, electricity and gas products
    1. Agreeing and implementing policy across all areas of the business
    2. Monitor the performance of the policies and working with the business to implement changes where required
    3. All touchpoints in the customer journey; sales, renewal, retention, mid-contract and out of contract
  2. Detailed understanding of competitor tariffs, products and propositions and the competitiveness of existing tariffs
  3. Owner of the costing and pricing models for all products
  4. Assist sales teams in large tenders, balancing customer growth with financial return
  5. Owner of the pricingroadmap
    1. Implementing agreed price changes alongside the wider business
    2. Periodic reviews of all channels and tariffs
    3. Proposing price changes to the pricing committee with full rationale and expected revenue and churn impact fully modelled
    4. Tracking revenue, churn and other impacts of changes
  6. Strong understanding of regulatory change in all markets and its impact on tariffs and pricing policy
    1. Staying close to changing industry codes and regulations
    2. Working with the wider business to implement change
  7. Work with the Strategy team on potential acquisitions and pricing strategy
  8. Work with the wider Commercial, Product and Marketing teams to ensure price, proposition and product link together and support growth objectives
  9. Work with Trading and Settlements Manager to ensure pricing and hedging strategies are aligned

Skills and experience required:

  1. Previous experience in a pricing role within a retail or services focused organisation
  2. Able to present recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner
  3. Strong data analysis skills and ability to create performance reports which identify issues and opportunities
  4. Previous experience of stakeholder and third-party supplier management
  5. Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, multi-stakeholder environment
  6. People/leadership skills, able to lead cross functional teams and inspire high performance from colleagues

Non-essential Skills & Experience

  1. Previous experience in a commercial role within the utilities (water/ electricity /gas) or telecoms (voice/mobile/broadband) sector
  1. Experience of a B2B reoccurring services product
