Programme Management Office (PMO) Manager

Our client, a leading civil service organisation based in North Sussex, is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead and managed a team of PMO Analysts on a fixed term contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure the effective implementation of the PMO project lifecycle
* Provide a quality assurance role in line with defined PMO processes including conducting health checks of projects
* Develop and create project documentation with key stakeholders e.g. project mandates, project plans, risk log, action log, decision log and issue register
* Co-ordinate project closure to distil good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged
* Maintain all standards for our projects within portfolio
* Manage and lead a team of PMO Analysts

Required experience:

* PRINCE2/MSP Practitioner qualification is essential
* Knowledge of a range of specific project areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training
* Managing and updating programme records, risk registers, trackers, project plans and documentation
* Expert in programme management, interpreting national guidance and implementation of best practice
* Experience of effective budget management, managing programme budget
* Able to make sense of conflicting priorities and reach effective and efficient solutions
* Experience of managing project governance
* Good presentation skills and the ability to convey complex information and concepts in a way which is understandable to all
* Ability to effectively communicate unwelcome news to stakeholders
* Credible to internal and external stakeholders
