My Preston based client is looking to recruit Pension Administrators to work on a full time basis with a flexible working option available. The role is offering a salary of £23,000 - £24,000 per annum on a permanent basis and is Monday - Friday.

The role is an exciting opportunity to work for a provider of pension and investment services for one of the largest local government pension schemes in the UK. The role will be assisting in the provision of a pension scheme administration service in respect of the pension schemes administrated by the local Pensions Partnership.

The main duties of the role include -

- Processing a range of general pensions case work including benefits estimates, transfer, retirements, commutation of benefits and the combining of benefits ensuring that service level targets and deadlines are met
- Responding to member correspondence relating to the work undertaken within the team
- Develop an understanding of current pensions regulations and legislation maintain an up to date knowledge
- Liaise with customers and third parties obtaining information in respect of the work undertaken
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a timely and accurate manner achieving the required accuracy levels

Person specification -

- Ability to work on own initiative as well as being an effective team player
- Ability to undertake detailed mathematical calculations accurately
- Ability to use systems and processes relevant to pension payroll and pension administration
- Ability to Excel and Word to a good standard
