The ideal candidate will bring experience from a Purchasing/Buying/Inventory Administration role. If you have general administration and customer care experience you will also be considered however you must display a genuine interest and commitment to working in a purchasing environment. This Administrator role may also suit a graduate with a purchasing, procurement or supply chain qualification ready to take the first steps in their career.
You must be detail orientated, methodical, analytical, numerical and demonstrate exceptional communication skills for supplier negotiations and relationship building.
A confident working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, in particular Excel.
A typical day as Administrator will involve:
- Ordering new and replenishment stock
- Stock control
- Generating and analysing reports
- Inventory analysis
- Sourcing new products
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Negotiating with suppliers for the best possible deals and prices
- Assisting with inventory counts
- Assisting with the organisation of and attending the annual trade show
