Are you an experienced Executive Paralegal who has worked within Private Client?

Are you looking for a new exciting Part-Time opportunity based in Glasgow City Centre with a friendly and supportive firm? This may be the perfect opportunity for you.

My client is a dynamic, award winning law firm who are experiencing a period of sustained growth. The Glasgow Office is close to great transport links and the organisation offer great benefits to their employees!

Providing full support to fee earners within the Private Client Team you will facilitate the efficient running of the business on a Part-Time basis over 3 days and duties will include:

  • Responsibility for the Trust accounts of a portfolio of clients
  • Undertaking of all appropriate liaison with clients, banks and stockbrokers
  • Preparing of Trusts and Executory accounts
  • Attending to tax and other payments in relation to Trusts
  • Following disciplined schedule to ensure all accounting and tax compliance deadlines are met
  • Maintaining Trusts database
  • Assisting with routine trust compliance, including opening of trust bank accounts and completion of trust verification / FATCA forms

The successful candidate will be accredited by the Law Society of Scotland /hold a suitable Paralegal Qualification or have previous Legal experience working within a Private Client Department for a minimum for 2 years and be comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. You will have fast and accurate keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Candidates should also be comfortable using a case management system.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are also required as well as a methodical approach to work.
