We have a temporary position for a Mixing Operative within a manufacturing company in Yeadon, Leeds. The role is guaranteed for at least five weeks. It would involve working daytime hours from 8 am to 4.30 pm, with the opportunity for overtime. The pay rate starts at £9 per hour.
Is this the role for you?
This contract role for a Mixing Operative in Yeadon, Leeds, is within a small, friendly team. It could last longer but only five weeks can be guaranteed, with a start date of 6th July. The starting rate is £9 per hour.
As a Mixing Operative, you'll help manufacture products and follow a recipe sheet to blend ingredients. It involves picking ingredients, manually handling them (potentially lifting up to 15kg containers), following a process sheet, quality checking the finished product and cleaning the production area.
The role would suit someone who has previously worked in a kitchen and has food production experience, or who has worked within a chemicals/pharmaceutical environment.
Due to the potentially short nature of the role, we would expect any applicants to be available for the whole initial five-week period and not be looking to take a holiday throughout July. It will help if you're used to flexible working systems and taking on different roles within the remit of the job.
The environment you'll be working in:
The company has a low turnover of staff, has a friendly and inclusive team and relaxed but highly professional working conditions. Despite being in production, this is not a frenzied, stressful position as the focus is on quality and following processes.
Manual handling will be required when picking ingredients but is only a small part of the role. However, being able to handle containers weighing up to 15kg is essential.
Please apply today if you're keen to take on the role - or to find out more. Rest assured, if interviews are required, they will be conducted with the utmost safety at this time.
Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
