Multiple Microbiology technician roles within a food microbiology testing laboratory! Immediate start

This is a permanent opportunity paying up to £18,000 per annum

Exciting opportunity available within a food Microbiology testing laboratory with excellent chances for development and progression. Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of premium contract testing within Food Microbiology sector.

Key responsibilities:

Microbial analysis of food samples using techniques such as plate reading, colony counting

Identification of Microorganisms such as Salmonella, Listeria, E-coli etc

Process food samples for analysis

Perform all duties/tests to the specified quality and technical standards

Preparation media and general maintenance of the laboratory

Ensure results are reported to utility customers on time

Ensure laboratory has adequate stock of consumables to run the shifts

Requirements:

Degree in Science or equivalent

Previous experience in working in a Microbiology laboratory

Previous experience in working in a contract testing laboratory/ UKAS17025 laboratory

Previous experience in Microbial analysis of food samples

For this role you'll need to be able to follow strict instructions and guidelines.

You will be a self-motivated perfectionist and thrive on delivering exceptional results.

This role would suit someone who is comfortable with repetitive work
