Excellent opportunity for a Microbiology Lab Manger with experience in Food Microbiology testing!

This is a permanent opportunity based in Midlands area. The salary is negotiable.

Search Scientific consultancy is a recruitment partner to an international food testing company based in Midlands. In this role you will be managing the microbiology laboratories on a day to day basis.

Responsibilities:

Day to Day supervision of the Food Microbiology Laboratory

Ensure all team members are performing duties/tests to the specified quality and technical standards

Make sure plates are read and confirmation tests are carried out/read on time

Enter results to LIMS on time

Ensure laboratory has adequate stock of consumables to run the shifts

Placing orders of consumables

Qualifications:

Essential

Degree in microbiology or higher
Understanding of ISO, UKAS, audit procedures and methods.
Proven operational experience and team management within food/water/environmental Microbiology testing environment
Good laboratory skills and practices as well as Microbiology techniques
Proven project management skills and experience, lean production principles
