Search Consultancy are looking for Mechanical Fitters for a global aerospace company to be based out of Prestwick. The company specialises in repair, overhaul & maintenance of aircraft engines and components.
About the Job
You'll be involved in the dis-assembly, repairing, replacing & rebuilding of aircraft nacelle structures. Working from manufacturer & customer information, you'll be part of the team that implements solutions to any problems within the parts you're working on.
You'll be part of a team that is always advancing and industry leading and be given great training as part of the job.
The company is a world leader within the aviation industry with a global client base and is currently undergoing a period of extensive growth. This has opened up space to bring new people on board to join the team and be part of their expansion.
You should have experience within a mechanical discipline to be successful in this job. This could be within aerospace, automotive or mechanical trades. You should have great communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as being computer literate.
Experience within composite repairs, fastener installation or engine build-up would be an advantage, as would experience with torquing applications & detailed measurement.
To be considered for the role, you must be time-served in a relevant discipline (with papers/qualifications alongside this) and have recent working experience in a hands-on role.
The job comes with a great salary plus shift allowance - more details can be provided upon application.
