An exciting role has become available for a Marketing Communications Executive to join a busy European marketing team in Glasgow or Greenock. The position will cover maternity leave for a 12 month period from end August/start September 2018, reporting to the Head of Europe Brand and Communications.

This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders and therefore you must have the ability to clearly and confidently communicate at all levels.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure the timely execution of marketing communications campaigns across online and offline marketing channels to support the EU Marcomms strategy
  • Deliver effective communications for EU brokers and clients, in line with content marketing strategy and with specific focus on UK market
  • Drive campaign effectiveness through quality of copywriting, messaging, visuals and brand alignment
  • Work with internal and external design teams to produce and update marketing collateral and events materials
  • Work with PR agency and external vendors to develop thought leadership articles, whitepapers and press releases to increase brand awareness
  • Deliver B2B events in UK to build opportunities to increase acquisition and retention
  • Help to define social media strategy to support different products in the UK and acquisition campaigns
  • Support Europe internal communications strategy and campaigns as required
  • Provide detailed campaign analysis and recommendations for improvements
  • Manage a junior marketing assistant

To be successful in the role you should ideally have:

  • 5+ years international or European B2B marketing experience
  • Excellent copywriting skills a distinct advantage
  • Experience in managing market automation campaigns
  • In-depth knowledge and experience managing campaigns across all marketing channels, including print, direct and digital marketing
  • Experience managing external agencies
  • Journalist or agency background an advantage but not essential
  • Experience using email platforms such as Eloqua, and content management systems such as Teamsite an advantage
