Management Accountant

PQ or QBE Management Accountant // Manchester City Centre // Fast Growth Tech firm // £40,000 plus study support

We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a rapidly growing business that provides innovative Information Management tech to a large customer base of SMEs and large companies.

This is an exciting time to join this award winning company as the team expands along with the turnover year on year.

This role is fully office based in Manchester city centre. with a main focus on assisting with preparation of Management Accounts and various aspects of financial reporting.

Duties:

• Work with other colleagues in the business, providing key financial info to aid decision making
• Assist with the preparing of monthly management accounts including ; P&L, variance analysis, accruals & prepayments, balance sheet recs, cash flow. Cost analysis, preparing commentary
• Support withi budgeting and forecasting
• VAT return.
• Tax calculations
• Support with with Audit file preparation, Insurance policy reporting.
• Reconciliation of control accounts
• Ad hoc projects and reporting
• Systems development and process improvement
• Assisting with co-ordinating the finance team

Skills and experience:

• Part qualified with professional Accountancy qualification or QBE
• Highly organised, able to prioritise and work to deadlines
• Work effectively in a team and able to communicate observations and insights to non-finance colleagues
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting processes
• Excellent excel and systems skills
• An eye for process improvement
• Keen to develop in a fast growth business
• Experience or working within a tech service provision business would be beneficial but not essential
