Our client is a leading residential new build business with developments across the North East of Scotland.

A great opportunity exists for a customer facing, trades supervisor to join the maintenence team supervising and coordinating snagging and defect resolution works within customer properties ensuring an excellent customer experience through effective communication/

The role will involve travelling around Aberdeenshire as required to carry out the follwoing:

  • Arrange / carry out maintenance works to clients 14 day and 2-year defects list
  • To organise appropriate labour, materials and subcontractors to complete agreed maintenance work requests.
  • Organise and check works done by the subcontractors
  • Ensure that the works carried out are done so in a timely manner, to a good standard of workmanship and in line with NHBC (or equivalent) guidelines.
  • To deal with all our clients politely and professionally.
  • Regularly report to Head of Maintenance on general progress, exceptional issues, repeat defects and complaints.
  • To procure materials and hire plant where required in line with the company's procurement and plant hire procedures.
  • To report issues relating to extraordinary costs e.g. day-works, AI's etc. to Head of Maintenance to ensure that the company's interests are met.
  • To liaise with colleagues within BHL to ensure that all pertinent information is available for decision making purposes.
  • To negotiate with clients with regards to maintenance issues including access to homes and timely attention to works.
  • To ensure all information on chargeable jobs is passed to Head of Maintenance for invoicing.
  • To ascertain if all work on sheets are actually pertaining to defects.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Adhere to the Company Safety Policy and all Health and Safety Regulations
  • Follow all Company and Quality Procedures

To be considered you will have a trade background (ideally joinery) and will demonstrate sound multi trade knowledge, the ability to coordinate and collate multiple concurrent jobs and communicate effectively with new homes customers to ensure quick and amicable resolutions to issues that arise within the defect period.

You must have:

  • Trade qualification
  • Knowledge of NHBC standards (ideally)
  • Good supervisory experience / credentials
  • Sound paperwork skills , able to complete work orders accurately.
  • Ful UK Driving License
