A highly rated, Legal 500 law firm is seeking a General Litigation Solicitor to join their Dispute Resolution department. This role will be based in their Edinburgh office.

The Dispute Resolution team members are all knowledgeable and motivated, and the team, collectively, has a wealth of experience in helping corporate and commercial clients, local authorities, public bodies, and private individuals. The work for this role will involve a varied workload of high-quality cases, including defending motor, employer, and public liability claims both at the pre-litigation and litigated stage. You will be acting on behalf of clients in the resolution of, primarily, disputes, including handling cases in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session and utilising alternative dispute resolution methods.

Salary is commensurate with PQE experience, but will be competitive. The benefits package includes financial, well-being, and developmental elements. You will have a solid background and previous experience in general personal injury, health and safety, and Fatal Accident Inquiries. Other key desirable skills:

  • Scottish qualified with 2-4 years PQE, ideally. Other PQE experience may be considered.
  • Able to provide practical and commercial advice to clients
  • Good communication and client handling skills
  • Ability to work well as an individual and as part of a team
  • Able to manage your time and a varied workload effectively
