We're searching for a Lead School Nurse and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for a full-time role of 34.5 hours per week, including Saturdays. The salary is £25,461 to £26,922 per annum.
The Lead School Nurse role
As a registered Nurse based in Sheffield, you'll be an integral part of the school community. You'll need to be a
creative, caring and professional individual dedicated to promoting good health and wellbeing for children. Earning a salary of up to £26,922 per annum, you should have previous experience as a practice nurse or staff nurse either in a hospital, nursery or childcare environment.
Working in a beautiful location with boys and girls aged 11 to 18, you'll provide first aid, advice and support, ensuring pupils' diverse needs are taken into consideration. If you'd been working here last week you would have:
? Managed over the counter and prescription medication
? Supported pupils in attending medical or hospital appointments
? Provided confidential health advice to pupils
? Kept accurate records of care given
You'll also liaise with pupils' parents and provide training and advice to the School Boarding Parents.
What you need to offer:
The ideal candidate will have a positive, flexible approach and experience of children and adolescent healthcare and nursing. Registered with the NMC, you will adhere to the code of conduct. Your communication skills will be second to none, and you will have a solid understanding of good mental health.
