Lead Data Scientist
Our client is seeking a hands-on Lead Data Scientist within the Reading or Havant areas who has exceptional data science knowledge and experience. We're building an advanced cloud analytics platform and utilise a variety of data sources ranging from IoT sensor data, geospatial, weather, lidar, fault & maintenance, to telematics and use advanced supporting technologies including GIS systems and PAAS machine learning services.

You'll be fluent, passionate and a thought leader in Machine learning (Supervised, Unsupervised & scikit-learn) alongside Deep Learning (e.g. Tensorflow/Keras) and possess strong programming skills which should include Python (Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, Jupyter, etc.
You will build innovative proof of concepts for complex industrial problems across our critical business units including Generation (Hydro, Offshore wind, Onshore wind, Gas, Coal), Transmission, Distribution (including Smart Grid), Trading, B2B supply, Enterprise (including Smart cities, Telco, Rail).
Some of your Skills:
- 5+ years' experience in applying data science/machine learning / AI to solve business problems.
- Experience working in an agile team advantageous.
- Experience working with state of the art data science, modelling & visualisation techniques.
- Experience working with complex datasets.
