Are you a natural communicator who gets on with people? Do you have bags of personality? Do you have an interest in the countryside / farming?
We are working with a Glasgow based surveying practice who work with developers to acquire land and associated rights in land for energy and infrastructure projects such as offshore and onshore wind farms and overhead power lines.
They are a small practice with an informal company culture. They are the opposite of your large corporate practices. No quarterly review meetings here!!
Representing the Developer they negotiate with land owners and tenants and agree terms for land acquisition and then manage relationships through project construction. Other responsibilities include writing and agreeing terms, strategies and budgets, supporting infrastructure consenting processes and attending hearings and public enquiries.
This involves a lot of time out of the office, in fields and farms in the middle of no where with significant UK travel and time in hotels. A background in farming or the countryside would be advantageous as you need to be able to speak with farmers and land owners and understand the agricultural / rural environment.
This role would ideally suit a Surveyor with 1-3 years post qualification experience.
In return they are offering a competitive basic salary with package and the opportunity to work with a great group of people.

Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
