Search Logistics are thrilled to be exclusively partnering with a market leading 3rd party logistics company based in Leciestershire on their Search for a Key Account Manager (Warehousing).

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing a number of fast-paced contracts within the company's state of the art facility, ensuring that the warehouse operation is delivering both on the clients sales and growth targets.

This would be an ideal role for either an experienced warehouse operator that is ready to take a step back from a hands-on role or a logistics sales professional that is keen to manage a number of new accounts within a growing business. Graduates with a customer driven mind-set are also encouraged to apply.

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining existing accounts within the operation ensuring operational standards are met
  • Liaising with the customers, reporting on operational stats and achievements across site
  • Provide regular updates to the customers to ensure customer service levels are met
  • Working closely with the operational team to drive operational excellence and advise on customer expectations
  • Drive the operational team and advise on any up and coming changes within the customers portfolio
  • Facilitate customers growth whilst ensuring that the operation is still cost effective
  • Develop the existing portfolio and ensure customers re-engage at the end of their contracts
  • Hold monthly and quarterly reviews with reporting to both internal and external stakeholders

Key skills required for the role:

  • Experience having worked within either a logistics sales or logistics operational role
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset, ensuring that the team is proactive
  • Highly consultative with strong data management skills
  • Team player and able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

This is a Monday - Friday role based on site in Leicestershire. Occasional travel to customer sites may be needed.

The salary on offer is between £36,000 and £40,000 + benefits.
