Junior Sous Chef - Stunning Hotel & Restaurant - Surrey - £28,000
We are currently looking for an exceptional junior Sous Chef for this extensively refurbished hotel in beautiful Surrey countryside. The kitchen here really is a thing of beauty!
Working alongside the head chef and a team of up to 7 chefs, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality service coupled with a high level of leadership and mentoring. They are just about to roll out a newly revised food offering so it's an exciting time to join the business.
Along side the restaurant there is afternoon tea, meetings and a 60 bedroom hotel, so you need to be on the ball and have a flexible attitude. The team here are renowned for the quality of the weddings they put on so you will be confident within a banqueting environment. The onsite wedding venue will comfortably seat 130 guests and currently hosts about 90 weddings per year.
You will be involved in the development of new dishes and the small daily changing menu, so will have creative flair and an eye for detail. Responsible for the smooth day to day running of the kitchen you will be resourceful and approachable.
You MUST ensure food and hygiene standards are kept high. HACCP and COSHH requirements must also be met. A level 3 food hygiene certificate would be advantageous.
Working 5 days out of 7, on a mixed shift pattern you will be expected to work no more than 48 hours a week (they are well on the way to getting this down to 40)
The position is paying up to £28,000 per annum
