Exciting opportunity with a city centre based Regulatory Body, very interesting role, with scope to progress and develop.

Job purpose

Working with the close support of a Senior Investigation Officer, to effectively manage a small volume of investigation casework and to provide efficient and timely administrative support when required.

Main responsibilities

1 Ensuring that investigations are progressed in accordance with agreed guidelines.
2 Identifying those cases where it is appropriate for the company to take action on Registration and those cases when an Interim Order may be necessary, along with cases which fall outside the company remit.
3 Evaluating information received during an investigation and recommending a course of action.
4 Liaising with colleagues, for example the in-House Legal Team or the Case Review Team.
5 Assisting with casework on behalf of the Regional Investigation Team as required.
6 Corresponding by telephone and in writing with members of the public and the profession about Fitness to Practise cases and general enquiries regarding the Council's Fitness to Practise work.
7 Keeping accurate management information and ensuring the current position is clear on all cases.
8 Participating in Case Review Meetings with senior managers to discuss cases.
9 Providing cover for colleagues, as required.
10 Meeting performance targets and providing a quality service to the public, the profession and other stakeholders.
11 Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned from time to time.
