Search Consultancy Ltd is currently looking to recruit an experienced financial analyst/accountant for our multi national client based in the north midlands. This is a great opportunity to work with the FP&A manager and senior stakeholder group. The business is constantly growing and is always pushing the process improvement agenda. The initial requirement will be for 3 months but given the complexities and continued growth this could well extend.

The Company

The successful interim Financial Analyst/accountant will be working for a well-respected brand that are constantly in growth mode. The company are operating a fully hybrid model so current requirements are 1 per week in the office (max) and the rest remote. The successful candidate will help with driving the performance of the business and be responsible for providing meaningful and insightful financial information to the senior stakeholder group.

The Role

As the interim Financial Analyst/accountant you will support the FP&A manager with providing high quality information and be focused on improving data quality to give greater insight to the executive team. Whilst analysing the group consolidations system the ideal professional will in turn identify risks and opportunities to improve reporting.
Key tasks will include:-

  • Review current group consolidation process and identify risk and areas of improvement
  • Analysis and presentation of insightful financial information to both finance and non financial stakeholders
  • Educating internal finance teams and operational teams in best practice
  • Work with the IT team to ensure internal systems and processes are embedded across all regions
  • Consolidation of regional forecasts and budgets
  • Consolidation and production of monthly analysis for the senior leadership team.
  • Drive process improvements both locally and internationally

The Candidate

As the successful interim financial analyst/accountant, you will have:

  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with a real inquisitive mind-set
  • Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong system skills and experience of group reporting systems such as Oracle, Hyperion or PBCS would be advantageous
  • Solid understanding of group consolidation and multi site budgeting
  • Ability to manage and interpret large sets of data into meaningful MI
