Interim Financial Accountant

Search Consultancy are working with an international business based in the south east midlands that urgently require an experienced interim Financial Accountant. This role will initially be for 6 months but with business plans and future transformation this assignment will likely extend. The role will provide an opportunity to support senior finance as they continue a large scale integration.

The Role

As the interim Financial Accountant you will support the senior finance group with all elements of financial accounting and control. The role will have a heavy technical focus and will be responsible for engaging colleagues to ensure the internal controls are met and improved. Duties will include a wide range of financial, accounting, reporting and analysis work to include:-

• Reporting monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements) both to internal and to external stakeholders
• Statutory and group consolidated accounts production and detailed commentary
• Month-end processes including sales analysis, month end journals and ledger reconciliations
• Analyse financial trends
• Liaise with external auditors and other advisers on statutory audits and IFRS adoption
• Working with senior finance to improve group wide internal controls/processes

The Candidate
As the successful interim Financial Accountant you will have/be:

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent communicator
• Proven stakeholder management (preferable internal and external)

• £300-£325pd PAYE
