Search consultancy are working with the Bury Council to recruit an Independent Reviewing Officer.
Full - time 37 hours a week Monday to Friday - Pay rate is up to £35 a day
Child Protection Conference Chair - £35 per hour
We are a busy changing team, looking for someone with experience and drive to help us move forward on our Signs of Safety journey. Whilst the job role is described as IRO, you will be working solely in the CP arena, chairing Child Protection Conferences. You may on occasion be asked to chair LAC reviews. CP Chairs are currently Agile working from home, chairing meetings via MS Teams. There are plans in line with the re-setting of the service for conferences to move to a blended approach, with the CP Chair, parents and social worker attending face-to-face and the remaining professionals via MS Teams.
1. To provide an independent chairing service for multi-agency and departmental meetings in matters relating to Child Protection.
2. To facilitate inter-agency and departmental working in relation to Child Protection through effective communication with all relevant agencies.
3. To promote and monitor adherence to the Child Protection procedures, to enable a consistent and high-quality service to children and their families who are receiving services from the Department
