An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Imports Coordinator to join a fantastic clothing Brand based in their Manchester office.

The Imports Coordinator will work as part of the Imports Department to ensure that product (clothing, footwear and equipment), is delivered on time, in the most cost/time efficient manner and that customs and imports legislation is adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of HS codes
  • Inbound containers scheduled for US market
  • Inbound diary and system dates managed effectively
  • Departmental documentation developed alongside the Group Imports Manager and introduced team-wide with a consistent approach
  • Great relationships built with forwarders and partners with best service levels achieved
  • Quality administrative support provided to the team e.g. generating documentation and checking quality of documentation produced
  • Great relationships built with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Key business KPIs (e.g. DOT and Goods in Transit report) delivered
  • Raw data collated and meaningful information provided with recommendations made to key stakeholders
  • Liaising with buying teams in the UK and Asia
  • Accurate forecasting provided to DC as required
  • Undertake tasks and duties requested by the manager or other members of the management team

Experience you will bring to this role :

  • A Comprehensive understanding of HS codes is essential
  • Experience within a supply chain role would be beneficial
  • Understanding of key principles of supply chain / logistics
  • Knowledge of shipping modes and incoterms
  • Understanding of the Imports process
