Search HR is partnering with a large organisation with offices close to Warrington, who are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner or HR Manager for a period of 12 months.

This is a business with a traditional operating model but an appetite to change. Having grown through merger and acquisition, the employee base is long tenured and the HR team is stable. The company operates an Ulrich business partnering model but there is still work to do in winning over hearts and minds and fully embedding an added-value HR offering, whilst some of the workforce is based offsite in facilities across the country. As such some (limited) travel is a requirement of the HR function to build relationships with senior management across your business functions. As a whole, the HR team is close-knit and autonomous, working very well together as a unit with high levels of customer satisfaction internally across the group, and the Group Head of HR is pragmatic in their approach.

As HR BP you will report directly to the Group Head of HR and will partner with a small team of HR Advisors and HR Coordinators. Primarily responsible for building relationships with peers and senior management across the Warrington Office, you will also (periodically) be responsible for generalist HR activities working with management elsewhere in the country. The business offers a business-like, professional environment where you will be expected to use your strong Employee Relations experience to handle a small number of escalated cases from the HR Advisory level, while proactively working with line management on their people plans; this may be as rudimentary as tackling absence & sickness levels, making sense of multiple T's & C's from legacy acquisitions, or may involve some restructure or TUPE related activity, plus ad hoc project work in a unionised environment.

This is a challenging operational HR BP position with some strategic remit, which I am sure be rewarding and satisfying for the successful applicant. In return, the company offers a competitive base salary plus a wide range of strong benefits including bonus, life cover and pension. If you possess a strong background as an HR BP or HR Manager, are interested in a 12 month fixed term contract position, you possess strong ER and perhaps ideally (but not essentially) have strong experience in TUPE and restructures in a complex, unionised environment, please feel free to send your CV in application for a detailed and confidential discussion about the role.

Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
