HR Business Partner - Initial 6 month FTC - up to £50,000
Home based (some occasional London travel after COVID)
Our client is a prestigious third sector organisation and the leading name in their sector. Due to growth they are now looking for an experienced and CIPD qualified HR Business Partner to join them on an initial 6 month FTC, although a permanent gap is likely to exist in 2021.
Joining a small but tight knit HR team, you along with another HRBP will support around 360 staff, each with your own business areas, directors and stakeholders to support. Your role as HRBP will be to provide support, guidance and advice on all people aspects within your business areas.
This will include working closing with the Talent teams to help guide managers on appropriate recruitment strategies. You'll help identify, attract and retain key talent into the organisation. You'll also work with you Managers to help plan and implement L&D within their teams, helping to improve performance and capability - keeping one eye on budgets and ROI too.
As HR Business partner you'll also work with business leaders on succession plans, help to identify key internal talent. This role will also support in change management across the organisation, this could include helping with restructures and the associated people processes. As the key HR contact for your business areas, you'll also lead on any ER within your stakeholder's teams. HR supports too with the induction process in particular for new managers and you'll help to realise this goal in ensuring new starters can get up to speed as quickly as possible.
As HR Business partner you'll also support in HR projects across both your stakeholder groups but also the organisation as a whole. Pencilled in for 2021, for example, is work on their Diversity & Inclusion strategy.
To be successful in this role we are looking for a pragmatic, commercially focused HR business partner who is able to build rapport and relationships swiftly with Managers. Someone who is able to balance the needs of the business with the needs of the staff, all in the context of best practice and supported by policy. Someone who will just 'quote policy' is unlikely to be the best fit - a more pragmatic and human approach is needed.
It's expected you'll be CIPD qualified and have experience in broad hands on HR Business Partner or similar level roles. A mixture of commercial/private sector and also third sector experience would be great. Home based, although there could be some sporadic travel to London which may increase if COVID restrictions allow later in 2021. A part of their 2021 HR Business plan, there is likely to be a permanent gap for this role later in the year.
