This is an exciting, fast-paced role working within a growing and successful Logistics & Distribution business based nationally across the UK.
Working collaboratively with the wider HR team and reporting to the Head of HR, you will have specific responsibility for the Slough distribution centre, working alongside site management and leadership to ensure the smooth running of the site and the execution of the people plan to meet business objectives.
As an HR Advisor in the Logistics sector, no two days are the same, and the pace can at times be frantic. Working to deliver excellent customer service to the organisation's clients, you will be responsible for managing ER casework independently as well as upskilling team leaders and managers to handle basic people issues such as absence, sickness and underperformance independently, through coaching of managers through these situations.
You will need to have strong ER experience, up to and including complex ER casework, as well as the confidence and personality to engage up to Site GM level, advising, consulting and pushing back where required in order to achieve mutually beneficial people outcomes.
Experience within a blue collar environment such as Logistics, Manufacturing or Retail would be highly beneficial, as would experience of TUPE and any unions experience.
