Horticulture sales manager - field based role (can be based anywhere in UK)

Due to investment and continued growth, my client is looking for a Horticulture product sales manager join their team that specialise in testing and analysis for UK Horticulture market.
This role is to support our customers in the horticultural sector with management of their resources such as plants, substrate, soil and water through the provision of accurate and relevant analysis.
This analysis enables the grower to increase production and quality, manage plant health, and use resources efficiently. You will be responsible for all business development activities within the UK dairy market for my client including sales & marketing and product development.
You will drive growth in sales through higher market shares and delivery of value added analysis to our customers.
You will be responsible for managing the start to end process of coordinating the laboratory and customer support functions, to ensure our customers receive excellent service.
For you to be successful in this role:
The right candidate will have a deep understanding of the needs of growers. You will be able to translate the technical aspects of analysis into practical and understandable advice for the customer.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree with a significant horticultural component.
Previous experience in the horticultural market and have strong commercial insight.
Excellent experience in sales, business development, marketing and account management
Tenacious and target driven
Excellent presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills
Please note that this is a field based role where candidate can be based any location within UK.
