Healthcare Assistant

Search Consultancy are working with a large provider of care for elderly people with various support needs to source a number of experienced care workers.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. The emphasis of this job will be administering care to elderly service users including personal care. The ideal candidate will have previously completed Practical Manual Handling Training and will be able to provide a certificate. You must have at least 6 months previous experience working in a care setting in the UK.

Working flexible hours through the week, you will be expected to:

- Provide a residential service for vulnerable adults

- Follow care plans for the residents and engage with them

- Administer care, including personal hygiene

- Ensure the well-being of residents, adhering to CQC care standards

- De-escalate challenging situations

Search are particularly interested to hear from applicants who:

- Have at least 6 months UK based experience in care to vulnerable adults, in either a residential or domiciliary setting, and are able to provide up to date and satisfactory references

- Have completed and are willing to take further training in moving and handling, first aid and basic health and safety.

- Have completed Practical Manual Handling Training and are able to provide the certificate

- Are flexible to work day and night shifts
