A great opportunity for an ambitious health and safety adviser has become available at one of the leading civil engineering subcontractors in Yorkshire and the North East. Currently a significant amount of their work is being undertaken as a groundwork subbie within the residential sector.
Initially your role will be to assist the H&S Manager in their day to day duties. Currently they are spending approximately half their time in the office and the other half on site. Jobs can be anywhere between Northumberland and South Yorkshire. With offices in the North East and Yorkshire you will be free to work from which ever site is best for you at the time. It is vital that you are able to travel from site to site as required within the area stated.
The current H&S Manager is expected to retire within the next few years and it is envisaged that the person in this role will be their successor.
To be considered for the role you should have a minimum of 10 years working in health and safety in a civil engineering environment. You should hold the NEBOSH Construction certificate as well as NRSWA. You should also be qualified to HNC level as a minimum.
