Our client is a world leader in its sector with a strong record of success and revenues of over £200 million. Having grown the HR function and brought in a new HR system, the HR Director has moved the HR team to a true Ulrich model offering and is now seeking a strong Head of HR Ops and MI to take control of the HR Ops team in a growing organisation.

This is a stable and growing business with a professional yet warm and open culture. The HR team is close-knit, the Senior Management team operates an approachable open-door policy and the business is people-focused.

If you are a senior HR Operations & MI or HR Shared Services professional with a strong team-management and continuous-improvement background predominantly gained in a commercially-minded environment and are looking for a new challenge in driving HR Operations improvements into a new HR function then this may be the role for you.

This is a position that will let you make the department your own while partnering with your wider HR, Ops and Finance management client groups. While you will predominantly be Head Office based, your remit will cover up to 1000 people across the company's far reaching locations and you will be expected to be strategic but also operational on a day to day basis. As such there is some travel required with the position, certainly within the first 6 months as you get to know the stakeholders, but thereafter the role should settle into a head office base managing the HR Operations & MI function.

On a day to day basis you will find yourself coaching and mentoring a high performing team, driving efficiencies into newly mapped processes, streamlining ways of working and getting to grips with the new HR, Payroll and Finance CRM. You will develop reports, data dashboards will report these and team achievements to your peers and upwards to board level.

This is a high profile senior HR Ops position within the business and my client is seeking a standout candidate who can get to grips with the challenges at hand, further embed the Ulrich model HR Ops team into the business and drive improvements and change. Consequently, to be successful in the position of Head of HR Ops and MI you will ideally possess the following experience and expertise:

  • CIPD certified
  • Demonstrable experience in HR Ops, Shared Service or MI Management
  • Strong team management and leadership
  • A high level of numeracy, comfortable around data
  • Strong MS Office experience
  • Have a proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse and communicate data and trends
  • Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement
