Group Finance Manager

Search Consultancy are exclusively working on a newly created Group Finance Manager position for a fast growing, private equity backed, corporate company who are leaders in their field. This role offers a great balance of team management, senior stakeholder engagement, project work and process improvement. If you're looking for a new challenge in a role that's more than just your "business as usual", where you can make a real impact from day one then this role is suited to you.

The ideal candidate will either be straight from practice or will have a mix of practice and industry experience. You will be confident with managing a team of qualified accountants and be a proactive thinker who constantly strives to improve processes and keep on top of changing legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of qualified accountants
  • Prepare the statutory accounts, including provision of tax notes
  • Manage and review the preparation of management accounts
  • Prepare the group consolidated accounts
  • Act as the key point of contact for senior business managers and the leadership team
  • Act as a key point of contact with HMRC and other external stakeholders
  • Be involved in the identification and implementation of new finance systems
  • Be involved with any future transactions and acquisitions

Requirements:

  • CA/ACA/CTA Qualified
  • Experience managing qualified accountants
  • Big 4 or practice experience
  • Ideally some experience with system implementations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal with a range of different stakeholders
