My client, a market leading 3pl based in the East Midlands, are seeking an experienced General Manager for their fast paced operation. This would be an ideal for role any senior operations managers that are looking for their next step with a industry renowned company.

The General Manager will have accountability for the Warehouse's P & L alongside account management of numerous high profile clients on site.

Key Responsibility will include:
* Overseeing the sites P & L.
* Managing a team of Operations Managers, Shift Manager & Team Leaders.
* Ensuring the most cost effective methods of operations to be used whilst achieving the level of service to our customers.
* Ensuring that the warehouse is adequately staffed to manage all areas to meet the customers KPIs demanded by the business.
* Creation of new initiatives and projects to achieve business working practices.
* Lead and implement continuous improvement programs throughout the operation.
* Achieving specified customer service levels and meeting the quality of output in fulfilment and despatch.
* Developing colleagues to ensure the continued performance and growth of the business.
* Monitoring a full security operation to ensure adequate protection of property, equipment and stock with the support of the Security function.
* Managing and conducting work activities in such a way as to prevent any improper conduct or behaviour likely to endanger employees.
* The maintenance of good employee relations with an effective workforce throughout the site with the support of HR function.
* Working in partnership with the IT department to provide the resources to function within the operations.
* Ensuring the health and safety, welfare at work of your colleagues.
* Ensuring appropriate probationary reviews and personal performances reviews (PPR's) are conducted within the agreed deadlines set by the business.
* Setting team objectives & targets that are aligned to 3 year business plan.
* The ability to manage change throughout the business.
