General Catering Manager - Bury St. Edmunds Area - Contract Catering - Up to 55k - Prestigious Education Site
We are currently looking for a highly experienced General Catering Manager to oversee a busy, prestigious school on the outskirts of Bury St. Edmunds. The site itself boasts a fresh food culture and currently the food offering is of the highest standard with core feeding as well as hospitality and boarding in operation. The client is one of the biggest contracts within the company and this location in particular, is very much considered the flagship of the collection.
The ideal candidate MUST have previous experience at a senior management level and a proven track record of dealing with a standards driven client.
You will oversee a team of 40 members of staff including the Head Chef and Hospitality Manager.
Financially astute with regards to budgets and labour expenditure is essential.
Customer service must be a focus whilst delivering the high standards the client expects.
Regular meetings with senior members of the school faculty will be on a daily/weekly basis.

As the site has boarding facilities, the expectation of the General Catering Manager would be to be onsite when needed and be adaptable to the business needs.
As you will be working within a school environment, a full DBS check will be conducted prior to anyone starting in the position.
