Hotel Front Office Manager £25,000

This is an amazing property that combines the grandeur of a Baroque style building with laid-back personalized service, forming the perfect alchemy. We are located in Manchester, famed for its buzzing nightlife and eccentric charm.

Our facilities consist of 128 guest rooms and suites, a unique restaurant concept, 2 bars, events spaces, a 196-seat screening room, swimming pool and fitness centre.

POSITION: Front Office Manager

REPORTING TO: Hotel Manager

We are looking for a passionate Front Office Manager who can confidently deliver exceptional, 5* customer service to guests as well as all other departments within the building. At the same time, our Front Office Manager will have the necessary hotel knowledge in order to manage the Reception, Concierge and Reservations Teams; you will have a real pride and passion for what you do, with the ability to build rapport and long-term relationships with guests.

As a Head of Department, you will be fully conversant in all areas of human resources to adequately manage the team, be used to working in a high-pressure environment, able to deliver to exact timescales and milestones, and be used to representing the team in Morning briefings and Hotel Management Meetings.

Desirable / Personal Characteristics:

-2 years' experience in the same role.

-Be fully conversant in all areas of Reservations and able to operate the hotels front office systems (MS Office, Opera PMS), inc of Rate Changing, OTA Platforms, GDS Platforms, No-Show / Late Cancellations Procedures, Chargeback Procedures, PayPal etc.

-Reliable and dependable in performing duties.

-Mature approach to stressful situations.

-Gracious, tactful and courteous in dealing with customers and staff.

-Positive and pro-active attitude.

-Able to question and challenge where needed.

-Good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills are also essential.
