Financial Reporting Senior Accountant

Search Consultancy are once again delighted to be hiring a new role into this growing and successful team of well known Investment Bank. You will be a key part of the Fund Accounting Team and be involved a broad remit including the preparation of statutory financial statements, NAV production and oversight of controls.

Previous experience within a financial services setting is highly desirable. However, all candidates with strong accounting experience will be considered and trained up on the financial services side.

Duties:

• Review and sign off interim and year end financial statements for assigned funds
• Prepare and complete relevant information packs for the fund teams
• Ensure financial reporting templates are up to date and maintained
• Ensure and review the consolidation work
• Ensure client, internal and regulatory change is implemented with no detrimental impact to client service delivery
• Liaise closely with Fund Accounting and Middle Office teams for fund data compliance
• Act as a key point of contact for Clients, Auditors, Trustees, Custodians and other departments
• Assess team processes to improve efficiency, control and to reduce risk
• Ensue appropriate and accurate documentation and procedures are in place
• Support team members with relevant training and development

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous accounting experience within a fast paced environment
• Excellent Time management and planning skills
• Being responsible, reliable and accountable

Desirable:

• Experience within a financial services environment
• Experience working in a related role preferred, dealing with Open Ended Collective Investment Schemes
• Professional accounting qualification (can be part-qualified or QBE)
