About the business
As Financial Accountant you will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller striving the business forward & growing the team as the business develops. Joining a dynamic and forward thinking business, delivering robust and future-proofed places that help people and businesses thrive.

Key Duties:
* Deliver first class accounting and reporting
* Striving for excellence through process improvement.
* Line management & supervision of a Finance Assistant
* Supporting the training and development of the Finance Assistant
* Management of all assets, including ensuring Fixed Asset register is up to date and reconciles to GL
* Supporting the Financial Controller on accounting standards implementation
* Tax
* Overall ownership of VAT preparations, consolidating the VAT return and related compliance/reporting for review and sign off
* Lead on the preparation of the monthly management accounts
* Processing of WIP journal and WIP Summary report
* Support the FC with all statutory reporting
* Assist the FC, Head of Reporting, and the wider team in working with other areas of the business, to drive standardisation and automation, as well as driving best practice.

Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
* Full time/ part time will be considered
* Experience in large/mid size businesses advantageous
* Experience in project based industry advantageous
