Role: Finance Reconciliation Analyst

Salary: £10 - £12 per hour

Location: Skipton

8 week contract with the possibility of a permanent transfer

My client:

My client is a UK leader Financial Services. Your role will be to produce production of the fee income and mortgage and savings control reconciliations, ensuring that all payments are accurately recorded on the system, differences are identified and actions taken accordingly to rectify and ensure all payments are received in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the sales ledger to ensure all income records accurately reflect the payments received from providers and clients, and that the payments are processed in a timely manner
  • Aged debt and suspense maintenance including keeping records of all the action taken to clear outstanding entries
  • Perform daily Aptos-Bishop reconciliation and SBS Suspense reconciliation with support, including required corrections and following the escalation process as appropriate
  • Perform daily Nom-24 reconciliation and Sub-statements reconciliation including required corrections and following the escalation process as appropriate
  • Processing compensation payments, fee rebates, time deposit account transfers and daily Chaps payments in timely manner
  • Be familiar with the expenses policy and process to follow when checking and inputting expense claims
  • Perform the bi monthly Focus/Aptos reconciliation with support
  • Perform monthly FA Suspense reconciliation and Aged Debt reconciliation with support
  • Barclaycard maintenance including processing returns and escalating outstanding items
  • Corporate travel management to ensure all travel costs are recorded accurately to correct cost centre
  • Challenge existing processes where there is potential for improvement
  • Knowledgeable on all team tasks. To be able to work independently on the key tasks within the team and be able to train and support Level 1 colleagues when required
  • Proactively seek involvement in ad hoc projects, queries and tasks to strengthen team and own performance once tasks have been completed
  • Confident and developed understanding of Focus with the ability to spot errors and be able to teach other users on its use
  • Assist in system testing when/if required in relation to Focus and other systems
  • Understanding of formulas and macros within models routinely worked on and resolve issues if/when they occur
  • Ownership of own development, actively seeks to explore the department and Society in order to gain further knowledge on what we do and how we do it
  • Visible contributor in team meetings with the confidence to challenge and propose change where required
  • Produce information for internal and external auditors

  • Experience of working as part of a team with deadlines

Qualifications

  • A proven track record of achievement of results - including GCSE Maths and English at Grade C, (or equivalent)
