Finance Manager

Falkirk - Hybrid

Full time - Perm

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Financial Accounts and Cash Allocations teams which includes direct responsibility for 5 Financial Accounts Assistants and the Head of Cash Allocations and indirectly responsible for 2 Cash Allocation Assistants.

Responsibilities including but not specifically limited to:

  • Manage the bank reconciliations systems and processes including review of monthly bank reconciliations
  • Manage the expense reimbursement systems and processes including review of twice monthly expense payment runs.
  • Review of monthly intercompany reconciliations and intercompany interest
  • Preparation and submission of monthly consolidated management reporting packs under IFRS
  • Support with insurance renewals and insurance related queries
  • Manage and perform the month end sales and nominal ledger rollovers
  • Review of unallocated cash reports

Other responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all set processes and controls
  • Drive system developments
  • Ensure adequate resource planning, process mapping and management of ad hoc project work.
  • Develop, monitor, and review all departmental KPI's

The ideal candidate is someone with a passion within the finance sector who is looking for a challenge and the opportunity to grow. It is desired that you have previous experience within a similar role working within a small team.

Experience Desired:

  • Part Qualified or Fully Qualified Accountant with relevant experience
  • Experience of leading and managing people
  • Proven experience of working within a commercial, high volume, multi-site environment
  • System skills including Excel
  • Able to be hands-on with a positive attitude
  • Highly developed communication skills including the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people as well as alone
  • Control and compliance minded
  • Strong numerical and problem-solving skills
