Search Consultancy are working exclusively with a well known regulatory body based in Edinburgh to recruit an Finance Business Partner role on a permanent basis.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially orientated, fully qualified or QBE accountant to join an established organisation and an established finance team. The Finance Business Partner will play an important role in advising and supporting various budget holders to ensure that they manage their budgets effectively including their compliance with authorisation processes. Responsibilities:

  • You will be build strong relationships with all senior managers and their respective teams and provide appropriate financial support to inform decision making.
  • Help develop, implement and evaluate key management information held in systems in order to provide accurate and timely information to support departmental operational plans and the organisation's strategic objectives
  • Understand the cost drivers of the organisation and provide insight to non-finance stakeholders to support effective decision making.
  • Head up the development of models and medium-term financial planning for departments and the wider organisation in order to ensure the provision of information on which decisions are based
  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end management accounting process with departments to include accurate forecasting and thorough variance analysis to enable budget holders to effectively gauge the financial performance of their area of responsibility
  • Attend and support where appropriate with finance board meetings

Your profile:

Fully qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE
Have relevant experience in a management accounting and/or finance business partner setting
The ability to engage with key stakeholders both internally and externally
Strong analytical skills and the ability to upline management information
Strong excel and financial systems experience

Salary for the role will be between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus benefits
