Finance Analyst - PMO - Up to £26,500 + Excellent Benefits Package + Study support - Permanent - Manchester - Hybrid working

Working in Partnership with Search, we have a number of exciting opportunities available for Finance Analysts to join a newly created team for one of the UK's biggest multi-brand, multi-channel retailer to support the ongoing growth of their business.

Working within the Fixed Assets & IT Team, you will be working directly with IT Technology project leads to ensuring they are working to budget and that all the costs are reflected and presented back to the steering committees accurately. You will also take ownership for driving performance and standards, working to specified timeframes, actively driving efficiency and value within a robust and controlled environment.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a fast paced busy Accounts Payable/P2P role and have strong Business Partnering skills to influence at all levels.

  • Previous experience in a controls environment is required to ensure the financials are accurate and risks are highlighted
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • A high level of Excel proficiency
  • Experience of SAP and PO Management system would be an advantage
  • A continuous improvement mentality to ensure that services are being delivered in the most effective way, putting the customer at the heart of everything you

This role would suit someone who enjoys working at pace and is able to build and manage relationships with internal Business Partners and our outsourced IT business across Finance and the commercial Business Units. The role requires the individual to exhibit reporting, commercial awareness, and systems capabilities. The main activities would include:

Key accountabilities & responsibilities:

  • Monthly Reporting
  • Raising and reporting to key partners the POs and Investment Orders
  • Time Sheet for IT projects to ensure costs are allocated against the appropriate business unit
  • Unblocking any payment and invoicing issues to ensure payments are made in line with specified terms
  • Recording costs and collating the story on spend
  • Managing lifecycle status of projects for capitalisation
  • Liaising with budget owners to raise POs and goods receipt invoices
  • Managing relationships with colleagues across Finance and Commercial
  • Working with the Central Program Management team and Finance Managers to ensure finance processes are run to set time frames
  • Drive increased process adherence through education of our Commercial Business Partners
  • Challenging our IT outsourced business partners to ensure controls and financial postings are accurate and complete
