A global market leader in construction related materials is looking to recruit a talented and experienced Business Developer/Field Sales Executive, for their vibrant Manchester and Lancashire patch. Salary £30, 000 to £35, 000 basic plus a realistic OTE worth £10, 000 + a company car, lap top, mobile, and a very strong corporate benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have a good mixture of Account Management and New Business experience, in a field sales environment, ideally with some experience of working with decision makers within construction. This business are one of the major names globally within their specific market. They have been established for over 100+ years, operate all across the world, have a very strong market share, and are pioneers of several new manufacturing methods within the building materials environment. Some of the bigger projects they work on, especially in the UK, are landmark sites and points of interest for the general public - such as premier league football stadia, major motorways, heritage sites, blue chip company HQ's and major residential developments in cities and towns.

Your remit will be to build effective relationships across all parts of the buying process with the following types of decision makers: site managers, large contractor buying departments, smaller contractor's Directors, builders merchants, even family run builders/bricklayers etc, and owners of construction related businesses. You will be home based, but will effective manage your territory across the week - so that you are spending equal amount of time meeting with existing customers, and sourcing new opportunities to explore. You will be a natural rapport builder, effective communicator, strong negotiator, with excellent time planning and organisational skills to operate in what is a very busy, demanding and competitive marketplace.

You will ideally have some exposure to the construction world, and will be looking for a business that strives for excellence, and develops people through several routes within the group organisation.
